Back in shape: Abbey Clancy shows off her well-toned legs and trim figure just seven weeks after she gave birth to her daughter Sophia Ruby

It's not what most women would typically wear to church.

But when you look this good seven weeks after giving birth, you want to show it.

Abbey Clancy appeared remarkably svelte as she and fiancĂ© Peter Crouch attended the christening of a friend’s child.

The model, 25, wore a figure-hugging white and blue patterned dress complete with a daring high cut which showed off her well toned legs.

Her daughter by England striker Crouch, Sophia Ruby, was born on March 14.

The speedy weight loss may have been motivated by her forthcoming wedding – the couple are due to marry at the end of next month. They have planned a lavish ceremony at the Stapleford Park Hotel in Leicestershire on June 30.

As Britain trudges back to work

By ARTHUR MARTIN

Last day of the holiday: Emily and Francessa Smith enjoy the sunshine on Saltburn beach, North Yorkshire

It’s the spring that just keeps on giving. After the hottest April for 350 years, forecasters are predicting yet more warm sunshine.

Those back at their work desks today can console themselves with the thought that we’re heading for another bout of fine weather.

Commuters returning to the office face delays caused by a huge increase in the number of lorries and roadworks.

Basking: Holiday makers enjoy the bank holiday weather on Saltburn beach on the North Yorkshire coast

Warm: Kim Blundell and Alice Malone enjoy the warm Bank Holiday weather in the grounds of the hold Cadbury family home in Edgbaston, Birmingham

This meant holidaymakers became stuck behind slow moving caravans on some of Britain’s major roads from 10am yesterday.

But parks and beaches in the South and East should become a magnet for day trippers at the weekend as temperatures climb to 23c (73f).

Those in the West, however, may want to have an umbrella handy.

Tony Burgess, of the Met Office, said most of the country would enjoy sunshine during the week. ‘The strong breezes will die down as we reach Wednesday which will push temperatures up to 20c (68f) by Thursday,’ he said.

A perfect day in London's Hyde Park as children play in The Princess Diana Memorial

'As we approach the weekend there is an increasing chance of showers in the West but the East and South will remain fine and dry.’

Most of the UK enjoyed clear skies and sun on the May Day bank holiday yesterday but strong chilly breezes and showers in the South West caused some families to cut short their breaks.

Another warm weekend: People on the beach at Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, make the most of the bank holiday weather. By the weekend more good weather will be on the way

America's answer to William and Kate

The Duke and Duchess of Vegas: Wynn and his British bride Andrea Hissom, ontheir wedding day held at the billionaire's Encore casino on the weekend. Actor Clint Eastwood - said to be the groom's best man - can be seen in the background of the picture

Anything Prince William and Kate Middleton could do, Las Vegas casino billionaire Steve Wynn was trying to do better.

And while his weekend wedding to British sweetheart Andrea Hissom was no Royal occasion, the casino king and his bride clearly did their best to match the event of the year.

With her elaborate lace sleeves and plunging neckline, it was almost as if Hissom had known what Kate was going to wear to her big day and made sure she had an almost identical version.

She even wore a white headpiece similar to that worn by the newly titled Duchess of Cambridge, although Hissom's was unlikely to have been leant to her by the Queen.

While 1,500 guests - from heads of state and European royal families to lords and ladies - filled historic Westminster Abbey, Wynn's wedding was also spectacular.

Wynn, 69, invited a who's who of high rollers and celebrities to the $1 million Hollywood-style ceremony held at his Encore resort in Las Vegas.

Spot the difference: Both brides looked stunning with their lace sleeves, head pieces and daring necklines

Donald Trump was among the 500 guests who arrived in Las Vegas earlier in the week for the three-day party. Wynn had told reporters actor and director Clint Eastwood would serve as his best man.

Before the event it was suggested that the wedding could become a $10 million money-spinner for the casino king as the big gamblers rub shoulders with guests like Donald Trump, actors Sylvester Stallone and Hugh Jackman and singers Celine Dion and Garth Brooks.

The lavish arrangements prompted guests to dub it 'America's royal wedding.'

'Everybody is getting free rooms, making the cost of the wedding over $1 million. But it's good business,' a source told the New York Post last week.

Guests were flown in for a poolside 'white' party on Friday -- the same day William and Kate wed in London.

The following day, 1,000 guests attended the 'Grand Celebration' in the Encore Ballroom at 7.30 pm planned by High School Musical director Kenny Ortega.
A farewell brunch was then held on Sunday morning.

The five-year-old boy who sold 3,000 monster drawings

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Fighter: Aidan Reed, five, from Kansas, U.S., has sold nearly 3,000 of his monster drawings and has managed to fund the treatment for his leukaemia

A little boy fighting cancer is selling pictures he has drawn of his favourite monsters to pay for the treatment that could save his life.

Aidan Reed, five, from Kansas City, U.S., was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia on September 13 last year.

Since then he has undergone weeks of treatment as well as chemotherapy, infections, spinal taps and other painful procedures.

Brave: Aidan was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in September last year and has undergone gruelling treatment including chemotherapy and spinal taps

Parents Katie and Wiley were devastated by the diagnosis, but were given hope when experts said the type of cancer Aidan suffers from has a 90 per cent cure rate.

But the family faced a mountain of hospital bills and had to put their home on the market to fund treatment.

Amazingly, that sale is now on hold thanks to the idea of turning Aidan's passion for drawing monsters into a money-generating life-saver.

The little boy has sold more than 3,000 drawings, many of them sketched in his hospital bed as he underwent gruelling treatment.

Total sales topped more than $30,000 and Aidan has sold enough that his family were able to take their home off the market and they no longer require further funding for his care.

Devoted: Aidan with his parents and Katie and Wiley, who put their home in Kansas on the market after his diagnosis

Wylie's sister Mandi Ostein, 26, was the one who came up with the idea to help pay the bills by selling Aidan's artwork.

She said: 'My lucky number was 60; I just wanted to sell 60 prints. And now here we are at 2,460.

'I have two printers constantly going in my dining room. In between taking care of my baby, I've been trying to fill orders.'

Ms Ostein said she prints out Aidan's drawings of Wolfman, Gill-man, Nosferatu the vampire and other scary monsters on quality photo paper so people aren't just getting a piece of paper.

She has now received orders from Japan, Italy, Brazil and other far-flung locations all over the world.

She said: 'It's absolutely unbelievable. We're just small-town people from the Midwest. This doesn't happen to us.

'Just thinking of him being sick, for someone in your family to be that sick, it's just devastating.'
