Kate's uncle: Gary Goldsmith topped up his tan at a sunbed centre near his central London home ahead of the wedding
Kate Middleon’s errant uncle Gary Goldsmith topped up his tan at a sunbed centre near his central London mews home ahead of the Royal wedding.
Mr Goldsmith, 45, displayed a new tattoo across his back – the proverb ‘Spend and God Will Send’ – which is an addition to the collection of stars and his initials on his upper right arm and a ‘zipper’ on his right leg.
The businessman was shunned by his furious sister, Kate’s mother Carole, after being exposed as a cocaine user.
But he went into rehab and now he and his ex-wife have been invited to the wedding.
And Gary is determined to look his best for the big day, which includes arriving with a healthy tan apparently.
He was spotted leaving the tanning salon in casual denim shorts and a grey T-shirt, which he lifted up after his session.
And sported a tan leather belt with the words 'Jesus Loves' written in studs.
Gary rubbed his pink stomach while chatting on his mobile phone after the quick trip to the Instant Tan Centre.
Kate’s uncle is bringing the second of his three ex-wives, Luan, and their nine-year-old daughter to the event as his guests.

The bride is said to be especially close to their daughter, her cousin, Tallulah.
Kate has always been close to her uncle Gary too, despite being labelled as the black sheep of the Middleton family.
But her uncle, who was once exposed in a Sunday newspaper chopping up lines of cocaine with a 100 euro note at his Ibiza mansion, is now reformed.
In 2009 Goldsmith was pictured in his £5 million home, called La Maison de Bang Bang, and loudly boasted about his warm relationship with the Royal Family.
He offered to get cocaine for his guests and even to set them up with high-class prostitutes.
The ambitious Carole Middleton, ten years older than her brother, is said to have come perilously close to having a heart attack over the news.
